Midibus is described as a vehicle which is larger than a traditional minibus but smaller than a full-size single decker. Midibus is perhaps most common in the United Kingdom due to its cheap maintenance and fuel efficiency.

An open top bus is a bus where all or part of the roof has been removed to provide fresh air and uninterrupted views from a high viewpoint. This is commonly used for sight-seeing purposes.

Low-floor bus

A low-floor bus is a bus that has no steps between one or more entrances and part or all of the passenger cabin.
